By December 1, 2018, it is mandatory to link your mobile number to SBI bank to access Internet banking. Users, who will not be able to link it before the deadline, will not be able to use the internet banking facilities of SBI.
As per the RBI, Banks must ask their users to link for SMS alerts and wherever available link for e-mail notifications, for electronic banking transactions.
In case, the mobile number is not registered with SBI internet banking, customers must do it as soon as possible. A part from this, customers can also check if the mobile number is already registered with the bank by logging in to the internet banking facility.
Listed below are the steps to check if the number has been linked or not:
1: Visit net banking website – www.onlinesbi.com
2: Enter login details
3: Click on ‘My Account and Profile’ tab
4: Click on ‘Profile’ tab
5: Click on ‘Personal Details/Mobile’.
6: Enter the profile password.
7: The registered mobile number and email id will be displayed
